Our roots can be traced back to the hamlet of Llimiana, in Pallars Jussà. That is where multiple generations of the Sumarroca family dedicated their lives to the vineyards. In the early 1980s, Carles Sumarroca relocated to Penedés, where he bought the Molí Coloma country estate in Subirats and the Heretat Sabartés country estate in Banyeres del Penedés.

In 1999, he bought the symbolic country estate of Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, which was renamed Finca Sumarroca(Sumarroca country estate).

The pillars upon which we have consolidated our growth and successfully produce wines and cava characteristic of the Sumarroca family, with which to make unforgettable toasts, are the Sumarroca family’s passion for the earth, our working spirit and continuous innovation, intensifying our use of autochthonous varieties and introducing foreign ones, and implementing new production systems and processes.
